Desired Space was founded in 2009 by Daniel Matus, who serves as Principal Designer and CEO. A designer with a lifelong passion for the craft, Daniel earned his Baccalaureate in Architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007. After several years working at a boutique design firm, he recognized a shift in the market — clients increasingly wanted great design that was both stunning and affordable, rather than design reliant on unlimited budgets. This insight led him to found Desired Space, a firm built on the idea that quality and cost-effectiveness don't have to be mutually exclusive. Over more than a decade, the firm has grown to complete thousands of projects spanning residential, commercial, and multi-family spaces, earning recognition including Best of Houzz honors every year from 2015 to 2024 and affiliations with the American Society of Interior Designers.
